The European Society of Culture, in collaboration with the Enérgeia Foundation, promotes the International Summer School "European Citizenship and Politics of Culture" to motivate the young generation to the knowledge of the political and social citizenship in Europe.
The school, which will be held in Venice in September from15th to 20th 2010, is dedicated to the illustrious Member of the European Parliament Bronislaw Geremek, and former Vice-President of the European Society of Culture, who died in July of 2008.
The school is divided into lectures (morning) and workshop (afternoon), and will host guided visit at some sites of historical interest, environmental and cultural events.
Graduates and undergraduates are admitted, preferably in Political Science, Economics, Law, History, Philosophy and Mass Communication, with a good knowledge of English.
"Enérgeia Foundation" offers some scholarships to cover the participation fee and reimbursement of travel expenses. Applicants must submit their applications filling out the attached form, and send it, together with an updated CV, to the following email-address:

The cost of the rate school amounts to 500 euros, including registration, accommodation and meals at the residence of the Summer School, and teaching materials. The School will issue a participation certificate during the closing ceremony of the courses.
